So for context: During the Post Match press conference of Pakistan Vs Namibia game, Shadab Khan was asked about the critiscim that the current players are recieving from the ex cricketers day and night ever since they lost the game to India. And his response to that was:

"I can’t control criticism. Former cricketers are legends, no doubt individually they were great but they couldn’t do for the team, that’s why we are here, We beat India in 2021, which is something even they couldn’t."

And this has added fuel to the fire. With ex cricketers more angry at the current team.

Now firstly, this is all really silly. Our ex cricketers have to be one of the most shameless cricketers on the planet, guys like Ahmed Shahzad, Basit Ali, Shahid Afridi, Younus Khan, Mohammad Yusuf. Not a single one of these guys ever beat India in an ICC world cup, they had plenty of tries. And they couldn't do it, and if you look at their overall record against India, in particular the recent guys like Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad, you will literally laugh at how pathetic their performances were.

Yet they have the gall to put down our current players. Every single Pakistani fan is unhappy with the India loss, I am unhappy, and everyone else is unhappy too. But those who live in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones at others. They need to only look at their own performances in the past and shut the hell up. Afridi, for instance is one of the most shameless cricketers ever, every time he would lose to India, he would have an excuse ready. I still remember after that Semi final loss to India in 2011, Afridi came back and said "why are you guys so angry at losing to India? We regularly watch their dramas and movies, you don't have a problem then, then why are you angry now?".

The amount of gaslighting these shameless individuals do is unreal. Frankly, each and every one of them should literally die of shame, and I am really happy Shadab actually showed the mirror to them, say what you want, but he is right. None of these ex cricketers, even guys like Wasim and Waqar beat India in a world cup game, so they need to shut up, and not say a word whenever we lose. Because the reason our cricket spiralled so downward is because guys like Wasim and Waqar throughout their careers actively sabotaged our cricket team, throwing their controversies and fixing.

The Controversy over Shadab Khan's statement regarding the India match is stupid.
