sloth vs resistance - advice on if it's worth trying to get the higher form or not

I dont know which to use. to be honest sloth is the only legendary with a higher form I didn't want because resistance is already so good and I really don't need another earth tank or any earth pet to be honest it's easily my strongest typing. either way tho, I got sloth. I don't know what to do. A.) normal sloth vs resistance which is better? B.) higher form sloth vs resistance which is better? I feel like resistance is better than normal sloth at the very least, if not the higher form too, and I dont know what to do. like I just checked the tier list and sloth is at the very bottom 😭. even if higher form sloth is better Im like is it actually worth using all of my mushrooms and everything up to try and get sloth higher form? only to probably not get it and then have sloth, a pet I won't even use, be like fully stacked out with a million vivids it just seems like a waste please help.

like just from reading his page it seems like he has the same issue as devotion the other legendary I have. like he seems to want attack and speed like every time he's hit he gains more attack and he does mad damage.. but then he's a tank for some fcked up reason. it's the same with devotion he'd be so so good if he just wasn't a tank because he's squishy and just dies instantly since they can just attack him straight away and I feel like sloth is gonna be similar. if he wasn't a tank he'd be sick and Id definitely use him as an attacker having aoe stun and stuff but as a tank Idk. id want to build him damage and I feel like if I didn't and built him as a tank then he'd be useless maybe I'm wrong but yeah and it's putting me off using him. and that's what's stopping me with using the mushrooms yeah I wanna send it and use all of them to try and get the higher forms but normal sloth is just too bad Id never use it and all of those mushrooms would've just gone to waste if I can't get the higher form. idk

also can I just say the timing of this is crazy because I literally just made a post 5 minutes ago about using mushrooms or saving them but I feel like I'm never gonna get a pet with a higher form so is there even any point in saving them etc.. and I just got sloth 5 minutes after typing that. 😂
