I’m burnt out and lost, what is my next move?

I am not the typical average person with the smooth transition of life from high school to college to having a stable job. I have really had to struggle for my own bit on God’s green earth, and now I can no longer recognize myself or my purpose, as some people like to call it. It feels like I worked so hard just to arrive at a place where I’m tired in a way rest doesn’t fix.

I started out as an assistant at a retail clothing store, then slowly moved up to running my own gym wear virtual store. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was mine. I made really cool cash reselling dumbbell sets, sets of sbd belt, and gym fits for both men and women. I’ve been doing this consistently for at least three years, sourcing, marketing, shipping, the whole thing, you know just Alibaba suppliers.

But these past few weeks, something has shifted. Restocking and taking inventory has become a heavy burden I can’t seem to shake off. Clients leave Instagram messages asking about available products, I read them, and I just… don’t reply. Not because I can’t, but because I don’t have the energy. I find myself wallowing in self-pity and exhaustion instead of showing up.

I haven’t seriously thought about going back to school because I wouldn’t even know where to start. At the same time, I’m scared of staying stuck like this and slowly losing myself. So my question is: how do I forge ahead from here? How do you rediscover meaning, or at least direction, when the thing that once sustained you no longer moves you? I don’t want to disappear from my own life. I want to find what gives me reason to show up consistently again.
