First time… thinking of joining

Hey all

We are based in mid-Wales (UK), lovely rural location, large house (200m2) with views, balcony, garden, on river and near several mountains perfect for hiking

We have a 3 y/o Labrador (boy) who’s well behaved but needs someone confident (plus, he’s 35kg!) and normally has morning lunch and evening walks, 15-45 minutes depending on weather

We also have two older cats who think they’re house cats but regularly get thrown out, so minimal care for them

We’re thinking of joining/posting THS for a couple of 7-10 night holidays we have planned but wondering if the pet burden might be too much (we have used kennels/boarding in the past, but now it’s some £1000+ for each trip)

We’d be open to a middle ground, house sitting/payment option that doesn’t hit the kennels pricing, has anyone worked anything like this?
