Nervous about the new hbo series

Maybe it’s silly but I’m nervous about this HBO series. I think it’s great that they are expanding on the story more, but I’m worried that if it becomes a big hit the original movies and all that will die out. I really love the originals and I know you can always go back and watch them but I always enjoyed the fandom, merch, and the parks. I just wonder if it will overtake the media and the whole HP community surrounding the movies and such will kind of die out. This is probably a really stupid part to care about but im afraid they will change Harry Potter in universal. I really love that I think it’s so iconic. Just in general nervous about it all. I hope it’s good but at the same time I don’t because of this. Thoughts?
