Did M+ difficulty get squished with ilvl?

I completed my 1st +2 yesterday since the squish. Actually did 3 +2’s and completed each one. My rating went from 146 to 650. Before the squish, I could barely make it through an M0 and the 1 +2 I did, I died several times. The 3 I did yesterday seemed a lot easier than previously. Sadly though, didn’t get anything good from the loot chests. Was hoping for some higher ilvl gear but just got champion. I’m mostly hero gear with a few champions. My current ilvl is 138.
