Did Hisahi deserve to die?

i personally think he derserved to die as he too confident saying "i got a black belt in karate", only to be bitten by a zombie a while later. Also, i also think that he's a bad bestfriend to Takashi as Hisahi knew that Tkashi like Rei and yet Hisahi still went on to start dating Rei. i mean what sort of bestfriend does that.
