Plaid / tartan tie - looking for specific colors

I'm searching for tartan ties that incorporate some particular colors (plaid could work in a pinch). I have found a few online vendors with attractive ties that match the aesthetic I'm hunting, although their reputation has been difficult to discern. KnottyTie can make one that's an absolute match but I'm unclear on their quality. I will mostly wear these for presentations and conferences - my preference is a typical silk look, but I'm not dead-set that it be actual silk. I'm not very flashy and just want to look tidy.

Some vendors with close matches are tiebar and Paul Malone.

Are there particular vendors you recommend or recommend I avoid? Larger retailers (I'm in the US) don't have what I'm looking for.
