1st electric for commuting/ run around

I'm sure this gets asked a lot so apologies!

Looking for 1st EV, I'm not a car guy I just want to get from A to B cheaply and safely for commuting to work and also for the school run. Also minimim faff is a bonus in terms of maintenace, I would be planning on driving it into the ground so not worried about reselling.

I've had my eye on a new Dacia Spring for £10k, but is there any other options I should be looking at? (second hand models?)
