Hi, it’s Rilwan.

I recently received a funded account, which is now a live (real) account. When I got the confirmation, I was extremely excited and motivated to achieve my goals. On the first day, I promised myself that I would not take any trades without proper analysis and that if my stop loss was hit, I would immediately exit the market without hesitation. I decided to skip trading on the first day to stay disciplined. The following day was a U.S. bank holiday, so market conditions were slower than usual.

However, after that, greed started to take over. Over the next three days, I overtraded. On the second day, I reminded myself to strictly follow the system I had built. That day, I was up 2%, which proved that my strategy works when I stay disciplined. Unfortunately, later that night, greed crept in again, and I gave back all my profits.

Today, on the third day, I hit my daily loss limit and ultimately breached the account. I deeply regret my actions.

To myself and to anyone reading this: focus on the long term. Do not let greed control your decisions. During Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the challenge, I followed my system with discipline—and I succeeded. The problem was not the strategy; it was my mindset. One sleepless night and a single oversized trade erased everything.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson: risk management and emotional control are more important than quick profits. Success in trading is not about one big win, but about consistency, patience, and discipline over time.

I will take this as a learning experience, reset, and come back stronger—with better control, clearer focus, and a commitment to long-term growth over short-term excitement.
