Struggling to rent
For the past 5 months now , myself 22, my partner 24 and his brother 19 have been looking for a 2 bedroom house to rent. We have no bad credit, we have 3/4 years of previous private renting history in another city, references at hand and apply holding deposits the minute we can. But we have had no luck in being able to secure a property to rent. Myself and my partner have been in jobs for 3 months due to relocating which we mention when applying because that can be an issue sometimes if not mentioned and his brother has been in his job for 5+ years. We earn 5-6x more than the annual amount asked, no pets , no smokers. We write a short message to the landlord about our ourselves as it’s through an agency , we have tried open tent meeting with the landlords aswell. What could we be doing wrong? I understand people may pay in advance ect but we have been applying for so many properties it’s now becoming a chore and it feels really defeating. Does anyone have any tips. (Coalville/Ashby based)
