Budget Soil Ingredients

Plant owner with medium experience, here. Plenty of experience mixing my own soil. My go-to thus far has been a bag of Fox farm soil, mixed with perlite and orchid bark for most of my plants. Succulents get about 1 part jack’s gritty mix, 1 part perlite, 1 part Fox farm soil.

My question is whether you guys have a better value approach. I live in a New York apartment so I order most of my stuff online, and I don’t have space to mix bulk quantities. But I’ve been looking into things like vermiculite and cocoa coir and I’m really curious about whether there’s a better way.
