Best advice for current situation?
Hey all,
I've had severe pain in my left teste for the last week. Exacerbated when I sit down, bend over, or otherwise. Saw GP and been referred to a urologist, but urgent care doctor said he believes I have a hernia.
I am in a decent amount of pain when sitting down, when doing anything really. I don't feel generally unwell, but it's a bit debilitating. I usually go to the gym 4x a week. Play various sports, etc.
I am meant to be travelling to Thailand on the 28th for 2 weeks, but given my current situation I think I may have to cancel.
I think this needs sorting. The more I focus on it the more it seems like the pain in the testicle is secondary to the pinching in my groin when I sit / make various movements.
I am seeing a private urologist today to try & get the teste cleared, I am hoping he will refer me on to a consultant for the hernia.
I am uncomortable, in pain, and pretty anxious.
I am going to phone the GP tomorrow to see if I can hurry along the ultrasound, but does anyone have any advice that could help me please?
Can I still play the sports I like? Squash, tennis etc? I assume weight lifting is now a big no no.
Likelihood I will need surgery, and if so, do you know how quickly I might get one in the UK?
I have private healthcare, but the NHS have become involved because I went to urgent care Monday night due to the severe pain in my testicle.
