If you join Proof of a Hero , don’t bail after you cart
I’m usually just a lurker here, but I really need to vent for a second. I get it, proof of a hero quest isn’t easy. I’ve done it a few times myself, and honestly, the mental focus alone is exhausting. You’re locked in for 35 to 45 minutes straight, and that final stretch with Arkveld is absolutely brutal.
But seriously… why join someone else’s quest, cart once or twice, and then just leave? What’s the point? It wastes everyone’s time and makes an already tough run even more frustrating. If you’re not ready to commit to the full fight, don’t queue up. Simple as that.
And honestly, it’s okay to die. It happens. Even if you cart all three times, I’d still rather you stick it out until the end than bail right after. This quest is hard enough as it is, we don’t need to be playing ten times safer because someone dipped after burning carts.
I’m only venting because I’ve genuinely been having a blast with this new quest. It might even be my favorite so far. But the number of times people join, cart, and then immediately leave is unreal.
Just earlier, I was running it with a random, just the two of us, and it was going great. No carts, solid pace. Then two more players join, both faint, and then both leave. Now we’re down to one faint left for the rest of the hunt. Like… seriously?
Is this happening to anyone else, or am I just incredibly unlucky? I’ve definitely had some successful multiplayer clears, but this seems to happen way more often than it should.
