Need advice for daycare feedings:

Parent/non ECE professional post (Anyone can comment)

My daughter is breastfed and I normally give whatever I pump at work to her daycare teacher at pickup. It seems like they are feeding my daughter whatever is in the frozen bag. If it’s 5oz in the bag, they will give her the whole 5oz which my daughter never drinks 5oz. If it’s 4oz in the bag, they will give her that, etc. My daughter spits up a lot and has acid reflux so anytime they give her 5oz, I ask them to feed her at 3hrs since they gave her so much milk. Yesterday, the owner gave her 5oz. She gave her another 5oz at her next feeding. She gave my baby 10oz in 4hrs, when she drinks about that much the 8hrs she’s at daycare. At the end of the feeding I was there to pick up my daughter and I could see she was sucking slow, meaning she’s full. Not only that, when the daycare teacher handed her to me she started to spit up. The daycare owner will also feed my baby 3-4oz within an hr of me nursing her before drop off. My baby cries when she’s sleepy so I’m wondering if the owner is confusing her sleepy cues for a hunger cue, even though I’ve told them this.

Today I decided to make her bottles beforehand to avoid this, but I see in the app the owner has already given my baby a bottle before the 2hr mark. I find all of this really frustrating and don’t know what to do. I don’t want to pack bottles for my baby and then get told she doesn’t have enough when they over 1. Overfeeding her and 2. Feeding her just because she’s crying. If I put in the app she just ate barely an hr ago, WHY are you giving her another 3-4oz?!

What should I do? Should I have a conversation? Keeping correcting them? Idk
