(Modern Family) Phil practically admitted to raping Claire and no one's talking about it

I've been watching Modern Family for the first time and I'm currently on season 7. I've always been very thrown off by the constant misogyny in the show, like the objectification of Gloria, how Haley is portrayed as a "dumb slut who only cares about looks", the way Luke speaks about girls when he gets older, just to name a few examples. But I just got to a joke that made me debate whether the show is even worth to keep watching at all.

In season 7, episode 3, Haley asks Phil if Dylan can stay in their basement for a while. She asks him if he could ask Claire for permission, and he answers "I'll give it a shot, but it'll be the second thing I've talked her into this morning, and it'll be a lot trickier now that she's fully awake". Am i reading too far into this or is he saying he talked her into sex while she wasn't even fully awake?? I looked the scene up on google to see if anyone else found it weird, and found nothing.

I surely can't be the only one finding this extremely weird right??
