What Do I Need To Make This Work?

So I have a Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, and I want to connect an audio interface to it, in my case the Teyun Q12. When I connect it through an adapter, the lights on the interface light up for a quick second, but they're gone after. Does this mean that the adapter (and also a usb hub that I've tried this with) is trying to get power from the usb-c input of my phone, which means it can't provide it for an audio interface? Because it works for another android phone I've tried it with. So do I need a usb hub that can be charged so it would get enough power? Probably answered it myself, but I might be completely wrong, and the phone can do it without it also.
