Supply difficulties.. do I need formula?

Support Needed

I am 13 weeks PP - so far we have been 100% breastfeeding. I pump when I can, or when I need to. Have a few bags in the freezer for when I’m gone (rare) and we give a couple bottles a week for dad bonding time, staying used to bottle, etc. We’ve had great success so far, and at his last checkup was over 13lb. I started my period (WTF RIGHT?!) week 11, then this last weekend we were out of town and the little one had more bottles than normal due to not being able to freeze extra milk. Since we’ve been home (3ish days) he’s not getting enough milk to be satisfied during the day. My pumps are getting maybe 2-3 oz at a time. He’s getting mad at my nipple, sometimes not even latching, but SUCKING down bottles. Nighttime feeds are going well thankfully.

I’m going to try and power pump 1/2 times a day to boost back up, and latch him whenever possible. Typically a morning pump can yield 5-6 or more oz for me and this morning I barely got 2… I started adding brewers yeast in my oats a week or two ago. At what point do I seriously consider adding formula in our home? I don’t even have any here to “try”. And as much as I’m trying not to be down in the dumps about that possibility.. I’m a bit bummed I’m even getting to this point of consideration.

Looking for any advice, insight, wisdom for this new hiccup in my journey.

Thanks everyone 🩵
