Should I keep pumping at work?
My kiddo is 14 months old and I am 17 weeks pregnant. He's eating plenty of solids and nursing about 4 times a day on weekends, twice on weekdays and then he takes usually two bottles of breastmilk while I'm at work.
Before I even had a positive pregnancy test, the amount I pump absolutely tanked, and it's only gotten smaller as we've cut back on nursing from 6-8x a day to 4. I'm at a point now where I'm pumping 3 times a day at work and only bringing home maybe 2oz.
We have a significant freezer stash, so I'm not really concerned about having enough for him, but I am concerned about losing the production I have. If I cut back on pumping at work am I risking my supply for nursing? It's beginning to feel like I'm wasting time to bring home so little, but I'll continue my schedule if it'll keep my milk going for baby.
He does not seem super eager to wean, and I'm hoping to continue through pregnancy as long as he wants to and my body cooperates.
