I’m starting to doubt how much specs on paper actually matter
I had experience of purchasing a ‘performance focus’ Lenovo. Which claims to combining portability with high performance. Unfortunately it was a bad experience, it never felt good at either thing it promised.Even though they had RTX 2080 graphic, which was solid at that time, they’re actually bad at both gaming and productivity. It would overheat during games, and battery life on the road was frustratingly short. Recently I switch direction and brought a Geekbook X16 pro, which claims to be more portable and long lasting. Compare to the previous, the actual difference is by real experiment. More than the specs, they equipped something like a dongle, smaller charger. And their battery life is actually lasting a full day. It kinda reminds me a bit of why some people stick with MacBook, i felt like most latest specs meets modern daily needs well unless you’re running some heavy games or Localized AI. I’m just starting to question how much they explain about whether a laptop is actually good to use.
