Mickey Down’s comment about Rishi

he made a comment in this video about Rishi being a character he wouldn’t want a gift from because he has terrible taste. I got the impression from this that Mickey sort of disdains the character and wrote him in a ridiculing and degrading vein by intent. Maybe Mickey and Konrad had run-ins with Rishi types when they were working in the financial sector, and wanted to lampoon them? Essentially, I don’t think there is any real affection or emotional investment in him from the creators, whereas I could understand them having a personal identification with Harper and Henry, who always seem to find a way out of their predicaments. So maybe Rishi’s story outcome should be no surprise to us. Because if you’re a screenwriter who really cares about a character you create, you want to keep them on as long as possible.
