Liberal Wife concerned I have bought *more* guns lately

*EDIT: huge typo in title, should say "haven't bought more"

When we got married around 20 years ago, we were both republican/right-leaning. She moved liberal over a few years and I went far right settling in on libertarian. Still, we respect each other and that never caused any issues, because I was the classic "socially liberal and fiscally conservative (also guns and weed should be legal)" type.

Trump 1 broke me (as well as other data) and started my left slide. Nowadays I am pretty hard left leaning. I can discuss this in the comments, if anyone wants.

The point is I had guns and liked them. After having kids I backed way off my gun hobby, it is expensive, dangerous, and time consuming. Lately, and a lot because of this sub and the current affairs, I have gotten back into my gun hobby.

I sat down with my liberal wife and said "So I was going to look at some guns today, not sure I will buy anything today, but I would like to talk about it."

She looked at me and said, "I was concerned you haven't bought any lately, *I* almost went and bought a couple."

This made us laugh, I was trying to gently approach the subject and I was completely wrong on her feelings about guns.

Anyways, I am looking at a PS90 and a Kel Tec bullpup shotgun plus some mods for my AR. I definitely have more money than before kids, so I might have some fun.
