Sales reps & CRM: is voice the right way to fix “no one logs notes”?

I’ve been talking to B2B sales reps who say they still spend 20–40 minutes after calls typing notes into the CRM, or they skip it completely so the pipeline is always half-trustworthy.

Instead of “just train reps better”, I’m curious about voice-first workflows: speak for 20–30 seconds right after a call, have the system turn that into structured fields (next steps, amount, probability, notes, etc.) and push it into the CRM automatically.

A few questions for the group:

  • If you run a sales team, where does CRM hygiene actually break: after discovery calls, demos, or late-stage deals?
  • Would you even consider a voice-first flow, or is typing still preferred for control/accuracy?
  • What would be the must-have behavior so this doesn’t become “yet another tool” reps ignore?
  • If something like this worked well, would you budget it as a per‑rep tool or more as a management/ops line item?

Not trying to sell anything here, just trying to understand how people are thinking about voice + CRM in real sales orgs and what’s already working (or has failed) for you.
