Question about Targaryen Madness???

So I've heard numerous theories before about how the Mad King went mad because his mind was twisted by the Three-Eyed Raven in the same way that Hodor's mind was by Bran (his obsession with 'Burn them all' and being reborn as a dragon). I recently heard another that Aerion 'Brightflame' may have also become mad due to having dragon dreams and subsequently believing himself to be a dragon.

Could it be argued that the Targaryen Madness is a result of 'dragon dreams' or The Three Eyed Raven?

Obviously not all who have the dreams would go mad but there is probably a link as the dreams are most likely related to the magic which binds their bloodline to the dragons.
