Deep wound treatment?

New player here, only a few hours in. I just got sneaked up by a bandit while transferring my stuffs. Almost got my ass kicked but thank god my nail gun was come in handy. But he was able to hit me on the thigh with his pickaxe and it say Deep Wound. This is my first time seeing this kind of injury and my character is now constantly limping.

[Edit]: Also, how long would it take to heal? And how would it affect the ability of running, vaulting and climbing fences?
