Adam Whitman is the most tragic character on the show we never knew

Just rewatching mad men, the scene where Dick is in the train watching out as they send out the real Draper's body, and sees Adam recognizing him back, seriously broke my manly heart.

I am a little brother and if I had an unloving mother and a dead father, my big brother would have been my only salvation as a child. Seeing Adam chase after the train somehow hoping Dick would get off was so sad. Especially seeing Dick actually feeling sad for Adam back. And by this point we already knew Adam's fate... God damn this show is so depressing. All the money in the world would never fix that.
