[AC7] Problem with the bombers in Mission 5 „444“

Hey guys I am new to the series and I can’t manage do kill the bombers in mission 5 “444”. Is it normal that the standard missilles don’t lock on to bombers?

I tried it now with the F-16 with 4AAM but 16 is not enough for all bombers. I tried it also with the F14 with LAAM but I was pretty quick out of ammo. So destroying the bombers with the machine gun is not fast enough and they destroy my base every time. I tried it over 20 times with zero success. Is that normal, or am I too bad at the game?
