How do you actually decide what to charge?

I've been talking to a handful of dealers lately and it's wild how different everyone's approach is.

One guy checks GunBroker sold listings every morning, another just uses distributor MAP + a margin, another told me he literally asks the guy down the road what he's charging.

For those of you running shops — what does your pricing process actually look like day to day? Like if a customer walks in asking about a Glock 19 or an AR, how are you deciding what number to put on it?

And on the flip side — do you have any real way to know what other shops in your area are doing? Or is it mostly gut feel and hoping you're in the ballpark?

No wrong answers, genuinely curious how different people handle it.
