I dont believe in negative energy or anything but whats going on right now seems weird

I do not believe in God, but I also do not completely deny the possibility of God’s existence. But right now something weird is happening I guess.

As far as I can remember, my family has always had conflicts. For four generations, there have been ongoing disputes and tension. There is no financial strain in our family, yet arguments happen over small and petty issues.

Recently, my family decided to organize a Bhagwat Katha. Ever since the plan was made, everything seems to have gone downhill. The number of fights in the family has increased significantly. I understand that the workload of organizing such an event can create stress, but this much?

Not only is my immediate family affected, but even extended family members who live separately are experiencing problems. There are conflicts in every branch of the family right now. On top of that, many family members, including my uncles and others, have developed health issues. Some of these health problems appeared now only. I have never witnessed so many fights and health issues happening at the same time across the entire family.

The Bhagwat Katha is scheduled for the end of March. No one in my family believes that there could be negative energy or anything supernatural involved. But one of my aunts mentioned this morning that perhaps something is preventing us from conducting it because it is a sacred event. Since she said that, the thought has been bothering me.

Is there really something wrong, or am I overthinking and overreacting to this?
