finding it hard to date as a bi woman…

i’ll try to keep this short, but basically my (24F) last two relationships (if you can even call them that, didn’t last long) have been a shit show after coming out as bi. my ex boyfriend broke up with me because he was SUPER paranoid about me leaving him for a woman. his “last straw” was because i commented on my (straight) friend’s post calling her pretty and he said that i wouldn’t find women attractive if i was truly in love with him. i was literally just complimenting her, something friends do but i guess because i’m bi he took it deeper.

then my ex girlfriend who broke up with me explained that because she’s a lesbian she was uncomfortable with dating a bi woman because she wants to be with a woman who has the same lived experiences as her as a lesbian. i’m still not sure wth that even means but i was hurt so i left her to it.

is it always like this?? is it really so difficult to date somebody who doesn’t see bisexuality as a toxic/negative thing?? at this point i just feel like going back in the closet.
