Identity verification telephone assistance loophole

A damaged or otherwise unreadable letter of correspondence: So I thought what if I did get that letter but say we had like a tornado or a flash flood and the mailbox got drenched in rain, so much so that the ink ran all over the letter and I can't begin to see any other number on that letter except what looks like a rather long number ending in 6? And what if I called and told the IRS worker who answered the phone that it's so bad I can't even tell what number it is before the C. And it looks like that 6 was at the end of the control number that is completely washed out. But I have all the forms and prior year returns (on the IRS website on your profile, or whatever program you use to files cloud) so I can go line by line and verify both 2025 and 2024 because I was the one who filed Well it looks like if you do all that and like me youve been waiting for this letter for weeks and you're frustrated cuz you know it's just gonna take forever even after you verify, then you will finish answering all 20 questions or so, and they will put you on hold and come back and tell you that you have verified yourself and you return will now be processed.

There's always a way folks. Hope this helps anyone who like me was tired of waiting to get the verification letter and wants to get this done today.
