Is Rakim the most influential MC ever?

I discussed this in detail in this linked post: https://www.reddit.com/r/anymusicpost/s/ZZeqX9upvl

I really think there is merit to Rakim being the most influential MC ever. A lot of rappers improved lyricism. But Rakim feels like he redefined what lyricism even meant.

What are your views? Does Rakim have case for being the most influential MC?
