DTC codes question about "historic" codes

I was reviewing my PPI report from awhile back and noticed that there was a comment and photo, showing three codes. The comment said "HISTORY CODES ONLY, NO ACTIVE CODES."

According to Google AI, "A historic (or history) DTC code is a diagnostic trouble code stored in a vehicle's computer (ECU) for a malfunction that was detected in the past but is not currently failing or active. These codes indicate that a fault occurred, but the system has since passed self-checks, causing the check engine light (MIL) to turn off."

Car runs fine and there is no CEL on. So, assuming that AI answer is correct (let me know otherwise), is there any reason not to try to clear those codes once I get an OBD code reader? (Or have the shop do it the next time I'm in for a service.) Or, is it a good idea to keep historic codes in the system, for future reference?

Thanks
