Am I Overreacting for quiet quitting my job?

💼work/career

So I work for a auto company here in the u.s. its one with a very recognizable jingle but otherwise I am just a small piece in the machine. I've only been apart of the company for a year now and honestly just am not finding much worth in staying here anymore after I was removed from my position for getting into an unavoidable accident due to black ice. I was a driver and while delivering parts, I hit a patch of black ice causing my vehicle to skid off the road into a snow filled ditch. In the heat of the moment I assumed someone had hit me because I heard cars racing past me, however when I was out of the ditch, and examined the vehicle I noticed no damage and surmised I had hit black ice. Am I right to feel upset that I am barred from driving over an uncontrollable hazard that anyone could and have been affected by? I am a glorified 'stocker' at this point and just wanna know if my 'quiet quitting' doing the bare minimum of my 'new role' is fair.
