Would you say something

fuck everything 🖕

My 3 year old started preschool two mornings a week in January, and we’ve all been sick ever since—my 5 month old included. It honestly sucks, it’s scary with the baby, but I know it’s par for the course. I try to keep things cleaned and hands washed, but there’s only so much I can do. Then today—while I’m dropping off my three year old, one of the volunteer mothers answers the door wearing a mask. We are a co-op, so parents rotate volunteer days to keep costs low. I asked a teacher if she was sick, and she said “it’s just a precaution “. This mother is sitting there wiping her kids nose, then touching all the name tags without washing her hands. Then she’ll go and make the snack, I can only hope she washes her hands.

I know school germs are inevitable, but I’m honestly so exhausted and this just feels like a kick in the guts. I keep my son home if he’s sick, and I would never go in if I was sick myself. That’s why we have backup parents scheduled. I’m considering talking to the school to ask about how the sick policy can be enforced, but I’ll probably just come off as a hypochondriac who is trying to foolishly control school germs. I’m just so annoyed, we literally just got over a nasty illness.
