[Personal] did i get scar from IPL?

When i did IPL five qeeks ago, i got a purple spot from one of the pulses instantly. The person giving the treatment said that, and because of that she will not do the rest of those areas on my upper cheeks near nose because they aee sensitive. she did not let it known that this could be something bad though so i still do not know what happened here? The spot became red slowly and now after 5 weeks all that is left is a white circle, indented. It looks bad. Is this a scar? What do I do?
