Do you think it's GERD?
Hi there! I'm just curious because I rushed myself to ER after experiencing near faint, increased BP, and hyperventilation 3 nights ago. During this week I was drinking 2-3 cups of coffee per day. I am in a calorie deficit also. Working out 3x/week and doing my 10k+ steps everyday.
Before I rushed myself to ER I had a 2 hour full body Swedish massage then a 30 minute foot massage. During the foot massage I was laying on my back, this was the time when I experienced increased heart rate and difficulty breathing. When I got up I tried to breathe in deeply then went out. I still feel like fainting, increased heartbeat, and difficulty breathing when I was on my way home, that's when I decided to go to ER.
At the ER - I was put on IV drip, ECG, and blood test. All test was normal and no complications. I was also calmed already when I got into the hospital even before nurse gave me IV drip.
When I got the papers, doctors put GERD as a main diagnosis and was given pantoprazole 30 minute before breakfast for 7 days (i haven't taken any yet). What's your opinion on this? Thanks for answering.
