The disparity between opinions online and reality

For how much I read about people calling mortgages/college degree a scam, you'd think NONE is buying a house, or going to college. Not that I disagree with the sentiment. But I see all this resentment towards certain products or whatever, but you go to the actual stores, only to see people lined up for hours getting that very thing everyone seems to hate online.

Also, people giving opinions about things when they have absolutely no idea what the hell they're talking about in reviews and such. "this car breaks down too often, you'll be lucky if you go 6 months without taking it to the shop", or "it uses too much gas" blah blah when the brand in question is super fine!
