I built a tool to learn English through YouTube — but users don’t stick with it. Honest feedback needed.

🗣 Discussion / Debates

Hi everyone,

I recently launched a platform that helps people learn English through YouTube videos.

The idea is simple: instead of passively watching videos, the system turns them into structured learning — you can track vocabulary, save words, review them later, and build active listening skills from real content.

However… after analyzing the data, I noticed something concerning:

• Learning completion rate is low
• Retention rate is low
• Many users try it once and don’t come back

So I’m clearly missing something.

I would genuinely appreciate honest feedback from this community. If anyone is willing to try it and tell me:

– What feels confusing?
– What feels unnecessary?
– What makes you stop using it?
– What would make you actually stick with it?

I built this because I personally struggled with passive YouTube watching and wanted something more structured. But maybe what I think is helpful isn’t actually helpful for learners.

If you’re open to testing it and sharing blunt feedback, I’d be very grateful.

Thank you 🙏
