I’m really tired of my catholic university not acting like one

I go to the university of Notre Dame and I absolutely love my school. The students most faculty and the congregation of the Holy Cross absolutely take our Catholic faith very seriously. We just made an ice chapel were over 2500 people attend mass, we have a Basilica on campus that is always packed with student students every day, every dorm has its own priest and chapel, which is always packed as well, confession, lines wrapped around the church and out the door, in a campus culture that just is authentically catholic.

However, there’s a problem It’s the school’s administration. I have never seen an administration more out of touch with its people than the schools. It’s so bad that many people especially on Facebook I’ve seen. Don’t even think Notre Dame is a Catholic school, They think it’s like Marist university (Since they forfeited their Catholic identity). I don’t one thing that is really upsetting is that they’re appointing An extreme abortion advocate (That linked denying abortion to white supremacy) To a head position. Students are angry faculty, or threatening to quit. The religious order is upset and I’m upset. I know every school has its problems (Yes, even the Newman ones they have skeletons in the closet too) But it just feels like controversy never stops with the school
