Voice message poor thang / quick stop

Does anyone have a theory or have talked about a connection with poor thang/ quick stop? At The end of poor thang Cole tried to leave a voicemail.

And on the start of quick stop it sounds like he says “ the voice message.. “ before he starts his verse.

Wondering if those can be connected somehow ?
