How does the hipshot tremolo compare to a more tractional flyod rose when resting your hand the the bridge will picking?

When picking on a Floyd Rose you need to be sure to not press too hard or it can create bending. From the pics I've seen, the hipshot looks a little more stable, is that the case? Is there more wiggle room when picking or am I off on that?
