How do you working standalone parents manage the holidays of your kids?

Hello, I have a 11 years old daughter who is going to a gymnasium in Trier. I am a crossborder fulltime worker and my daughter’s father lives in another country. He had a flexible work till now but he will start a new one that requires much more physical presence, which means he will not be able to take her in charge as much as now.

So, I started to wonder how can I manage school holidays like the one during Easter. I imagine leaving the kid alone the whole day is not manageable. So which solutions are out there for the gymnasium but still small kids of standalone working parents without relatives around ?
