Is Daneil 2:35 a direct link to Matthew 16:18-19

Ive noticed that when Daneil mentions a stone that might link to the Rock in Matthew and this stone stuck the statue and became a mountian, and to my knowlage the varican is built on a mountain/ hill I could be interpreting this wrong but it might be a link
