2017 3.5 ecoboost: can't remove throttle body hose... suggestions?

I have been trying for 20 minutes to get the hose off the throttle body so I can clean the TB. But, damn, I can't get that hose off. I've pulled on it, tried to rotate it, wiggle... nothing. It won't move one bit. I've watched so many videos, and people seem to cut the video where they are actually removing the hose. Is there a trick to removing it?
