Question regarding GO+wego combo ticket

I'm visiting Niagara falls this weekend and will be buying the go+wego combo ticket. Do I need to tap on/off the presto reader? Or will they have someone come around to check tickets once boarded (like they do on the via rail)?

When I board the wego in Niagara falls, am I tapping something once I get on the bus? Or I'm just showing the driver my ticket?
