clothing recommendations

i’m looking for some very warm clothing options and perhaps certain brands to buy from. me and my family are most likely going to move to big bear in a month or two and we currently live in orange county. i’ve never really been in super cold weather and i thrift all my clothes so i genuinely have no clue what to look for in a high quality warm piece of clothing will i need certain gloves or earmuffs and what not?? i apologize if this is a silly question i’ve always wanted to live in a snowy forested area so im really excited and trying to do everything to prepare properly
