For me, it’s the Sabre/Sabre Comet and Anvil Asgard.

The Sabre is not the most powerful, but I learned the hard way, when facing one head-on, it is tinier than an aurora. Not the strongest medium fighter, but how it handles like a light fighter more than makes up for it. It does have the same weapon situation as a cutlass black, but she is very delicate. For situations where you want to move quickly (and very quietly) the Sabre is, in my personal opinion and through rigorous testing, my favorite ship against the other light fighters in the game, even though it isn’t technically one itself!

The Asgard is amazing in every way. Massive cargo grid for ground vehicles and snub fighters, ursa is a must for high risk situations. Taking an ursa and a Tumbril Storm with me to the Lazarus data facility made it a cake walk. Taking it to the executive hangars against another org is where the Asgard excelled. For EVA pick up’s , the side doors are incredibly helpful, so is the fact that the rear ramp is so huge. For picking up the Exec Hangar components, there was more than enough space on board. It gets a good rep as the “bigger Cutlass Black” and it is literally that in every way besides for the tractor beam.

I made my way to my Asgard, in E.V.A. from the first executive hangar, which was already looted by another org. In that time, a player killed me in his Sabre while I was E.V.A. 2 feet from the Asgard’s side door right when I opened it, with a full set of comp boards on me. My teammate tractor beamed me into my Asgard , and revived me. As he made his way out of my Asgard, I was boarded. I was at the cockpit, so all I had to do was protect the door at the end of the ladder to my Asgard’s upper level. The players who boarded wasted no time taking the ladder up and I took one out, my teammate the other. We made our way to the second executive hangar, which we looted :D The Asgard came in clutch once more for getting as close as we can to the executive hangar door to sling the grade A components into. On our way out we were attacked by a convoy of a prowler sentinel and guardian, th guardian shot open my rear ramp, but I was able to QT to checkmate with a fully loaded Asgard.

For E.V.A. high intensity situations, the Asgard is amazing. For Hostile boarding parties, you as the pilot are unkillable (in fps regards). For ground ops, vehicles galore. I managed to get a Ursa, Nox, cyclone , fury, and an 8scu stor\*all. The cutlass black is the little brother of the Asgard for sure, however it is very delicate and can be taken out relatively easily, and the cutlass does not fit an Ursa for those who need respawn.

All in all, I will never melt my Asgard pledge, however , I did upgrade my Sabre for the f8c , but I am always finding myself getting back in the comet on a daily basis
