Afterpay and hotel booking

We are going to a NASCAR race this weekend in Atlanta and there are multiple people going. We booked three rooms total. Since I had to pay upfront and wait on everyone else to pay me back, I used afterpay on Expedia. The hotel called to confirm we were still going but then told me that i needed my id (of course) and the card used to book ending in (after pay card used). I explained that I used afterpay and that its a virtual type card and they said it had to be the card we used ending in..... what can I do? Has anyone else experienced this issue?
