Good places to move into as a solo person working?

Hi there, I'm looking for rentals across Hamilton.

Wondering if there's anything I should look out for, good or bad? What are some good places to live in?

Are there any unsafe suburbs to move into? Particularly good suburbs?

I was keen to live on my own so I can focus on my work, but some of the places just don't look worth the price. For example, listings I've seen online will advertise and charge a premium for a "solo/private" place, but it's actually just a house split into separate rooms with a shared common space.

I'm wondering if there's any place that's actually private, or is flatting probably the better way to go to save some money?
